THE PROJECT: This product was developed during the project "Design a tree" supervised by German designer Steffen Kehrle.
THE PROBLEM: develop a product with a feature inspired by trees.
THE SOLUTION: a roof tile with the cooling technology called transpiration cooling. Trees cool themselves and the area around them down by transpirating liquid through their branches and leaves.
TROOF is useful in warm areas countering strong droughts and heat waves.
